Lovely county park. You park and walk to the beautiful beach. Lots of other trails. Closes early-at 5:30 we were herded off beach by employees. You can see nuclear power plant from beach.

We spent a Saturday afternoon here on a beautiful Spring day-low 70's and sunny weather. The parking lot was full, with only one other spot remaining. There is a 10 minute walk from the parking lot down to the beach area. At that time of...More

Tucked away in Calvert County with cliffs! This seems to be a shark-tooth-hunter paradise as well as other fossils with the beach, the cliffs and the ponds. We've always enjoyed exploring the exposed sandbars at low tide and searching for a few shells (most of...More

The half mile trail to the beach is an easy walk on a gravel road. Restrooms available on the trail. The beach has an abundance of shells washed up from the surf, so not a smooth surface, but it was a nice visit.

I liked this.place. Right on the Bay and the beach is clean. Plenty of room. Bathrooms were filthy. Plenty of small shark teeth if you take the time. Looked like the fiahing was good there too

Had a great time here. Metal detecting allowed on the beaches here. Restrooms clean & there is a shower area to rinse off feet & shoes. Much easier walk. Did find some shark teeth here also.

my whole family loved this park. There is a short half mile hike to the beach through a lovely forest. The beach is nice and clean. The sand is fairly rough, full of broken shells and rocks, but that is the appeal. My kids loved...More

We come to Flag Ponds Nature Park to 1. look for shark teeth and 2. have beachy sand fun. The reality is that if you are lugging a lot of beach things and have several small children with you, this is not the easiest beach...More

This is our easy fix when we need to stay in the DC area but want a fun beach. It's only an hour and a half away and the beach is usually warm and there's plenty of room. It's very close to Calvert Cliffs state...More
