We went here with friends on Memorial Day weekend - one of the most popular/crowded weekends. The parking lots were full within an hour of opening. The red trail hike takes you 1.8 miles from the parking lot to the beach. It is flat and an easy walk with small kids. There was so much to see along the way... More

Go early for the mile hike to the beach for great birding along the way. The beach is small, but you can search for fossils. We went on a Sunday and the park got very crowded later in the day.

There is an entrance fee to this park. It has a number of hiking trails each with varying difficulties and lengths. We all enjoyed the trails which were amply supplied with resting places and even supplied bags so that we could throw out our trash! We took the red trail which led to the beach which was pretty nice! The... More

There are numerous trails here, some of them get a little hilly, and are sure to not be boring for the avid hiker. Others are short and easy; but don't write them off- the blue trail I found to be very scenic! I am a trail monitor here, and enjoy seeing so many people using the trails and going to... More

Easy two mile walk to water. Many people digging thru sand looking for shells etc. They have a bin at end of trail with kids sand buckets etc to enjoy.

So - we decided to head to Southern Maryland over President's Day Weekend to check out these cliffs - and look for fossils and shark's teeth. Do yourself the favor and read several reviews. The park is expansive, and there is a decent trail system. Parking is tight, and by the time we left nearly every inch of grass had... More

This place has lot of million year old to modern times fossil stuf. Shark tooth is major attraction. If you found a tooth pretty much far from the shore, and if it is much dark in color then you can ensure that tooth in very old one. Beach is smal but cool and good.

My family loves going to this park. There are so many walkways throughout the woods to choose from. The walk will take you down hills and some precious spots to stop and sit for a bit and soak it all up. The trees keep you shaded in the summer heat and then you get to the end and get to... More
