Went with my sons and one of their friends on a three night camping trip. Had never camped in Maryland before. We were very surprised to find the camping pad made of gravel. Certainly did not expect that, very rough on the tent floor even...More

This is a small state park. The lake is pretty small but they do stock it with trout(during fishing season) A Maryland fishing license would be required with a trout stamp. The lake is ok to rent a small boat and paddle around for a...More

My family thoroughly enjoyed the park. Beautiful scenery, well maintained. I was surprised though to see flamingos wading in the lake. Not a northern bird. But a delight to watch.

We stayed at the park for 3 days before Thanksgiving. Really nicely remodeled cabin in a quiet section of the part. They supplied the fire wood for the wood stove. The lake is down the road about 100 yards and in the summer is really...More

This park is AMAZING! We had the most beautiful cabin—close to Wisp Ski area. No WiFi and pretty remote—all forested sites. SO reasonable for a high-end cabin with water/electric—sleeps 6 ($70/night). Plenty of cheaper, rustic camping options as well!😁. Wood stove in every cabin, and...More

Enjoyed a visit on a trip to Deep Creek. Has a nice swimming area and some walking trails to enjoy, We did not rent a cabin, but that was a possibility. A good place to stretch your legs to break up a long drive.

Visited this State Park for the first time in 30 years. It has not changed very much. I took my family there for a summer vacation many times . It is one of the best parks I ever visited. The cabins are basic. Visiting there...More

This state park has about 10 cabins for rent, a nice beach and some semi primative camping spots. Nice picnic area and playground.

This is a small park with a small lake and small campgrounds, set into a forest of tall pine trees, with a short drive to nearby attractions. My son and I used this park as a jumping off point to a weekend of kayaking and...More
