Make certain that you park inside the gates. Panhandlers abound outside. Museum is fantastic. Many great artifacts. When we visited in late May during the week it was not crowded but the cafeteria was not open during the week so eat before you get there.

My husband is intriged with trains and this did not disappoint him! We though we would only be there for a hour or so but there are so many trains on exhibit there you could easily spend hours there.

Bring your family and enjoy learning about US history through railroad history. Enjoy the beautiful restored roundhouse, see and climb on the engines, and take a train ride. Great for the kids with lots of hands on activities.
