Always a great place to visit and bring the family. The beach is small enough that your children are not going to get lost in a sea of 10,000 people. Plenty of things in walking distance to do for all ages.

Bathrooms, easy access to the beach, tide pools, lots of parking, what more can you ask for? We stopped by yesterday the bathrooms were closed for the season but when they are open they are clean. We found lots of beautiful sea glass and a few other treasures. We love this beach - its lots of fun for a family.

Too crowded and noisy. There was a definite lack of parking. The bathrooms were adequate. There was just too many people in a really small space.

Love the sandy beach here. Collected rocks and shells. Beach and restrooms are nice and clean. It was pouring rain and we still had a great day. Beach access is great for everyone. I really liked that.

I love Short Sands Beach, Maine. It has so much to see and do. For yourself there is the beach and walking the boardwalk, the Wild Kingdom Zoo, the little shops and good eating places. For the teens there is and amusement park with rides and an arcade. For the children there is the beach, the huge new playground attached... More

Small beach but definitely nice to visit. Closer to downtown than Long Sands. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, etc.

This is a nice beach you can walk along, swim, or wade. There is parking close by, clean bathrooms, small variety shops, and places to eat.
