Considered to be the "most photographed" lighthouse, this 41-foot conical tower sits on the summit of Cape Neddick Bubble, a small offshore rocky islet, looking proudly over the Atlantic.

Leaving Ogunquit, drive slowly along Shore Road & take in the dramatic coastline to York. The Cape Neddick grounds were donated to the Town of York tin 1929. The only access to the island is via a small cable car. Visitors have a great view...More

We've seen lighthouses on both coasts, but Nubble Point is special. It looks as if it were built for tourist photos, sitting on a small outcrop, just yards away from parking and walking trails.

Whether you drive up to the parking or take a tour boat from Perkins Cove, Nubble light is breathtaking. Foxes Restaurant is on your left as you drive up to park. There is a visitor center on your right. A must see.

It's not the most famous of Maine lighthouses, but if you want to see a REAL lighthouse on the REAL ocean - this is the best one coming up from NYC. A scenic drive along the coastal beach should be avoided by coming in the...More

Visiting the nubble lighthouse is so relaxing. Walk on the rocks listen to the waves crash sit and overlook the water. Such a peaceful and relaxing experience.

We attended the lighting of the lighthouse that is a town tradition. Christmas carols, cookies, hot cocoa and a magnificent sunset view of the lighthouse and the ocean! This was our first time and we will definitely make it a family tradition from now on!

A fun opportunity to see a Maine lighthouse. Lots of visual candy, and an opportunity to have a great cone of local ice cream. Bring your camera!

A scenic drive through York and out to the lighthouse. We were there in late October, early evening, and the wind and light were perfect. Interesting to see the small cable car which is the only access to the lighthouse located on a small island.

We stopped enroute from Boston to Portland. The lighthouse is located in a picture perfect small town. There is parking available next to the lighthouse vantage point. Makes for great photos.

I looked around a bit and couldn't find an exact answer to that question. I would think they would come when the sun is down? Just a guess.

Don't think so. Again, you can't actually tour the lighthouse, but the grounds around it are cool too. It's probably a dusk to dawn type hours.

Theres not really a path. There are some benches scattered around, with a dirt/grass area to get to them. There are rocks as well that people sit on. I think a stroller should be fine to get to one of the benches.
