The lighthouse and rocky shoals were beautiful on a sunny day. Perfect spot to take photos. In the gift shop Bill is painting and signing his pics. Great souvenir for Ten bucks! Most of all, just stop a minute and enjoy the scenery!

Beautiful lighthouse on its own island, only viewable from the mainland. We went there on a partly cloudy day so it was a very relaxing sight. Seabirds were nesting at one corner in May and I had to use the zoom on my camera to...More

Even though it was a rainy day, we still really enjoyed our visit to the lighthouse. The people in the gift shop were some of the friendliest people we've ever encountered. I can't wait to come back and visit on a sunny day.

Really enjoyed this quaint old lighthouse and the volunteer who shared its history with our group. Plenty of shoreline for the kids to deplete some of their energy, it's perfect for a family outing or a romantic side-stop on the Maine coast.

We visited a few nights ago as the sun was setting. We had to park around the corner but it was a very short and doable walk even with a toddler. Beautiful views of the lighthouse. You can walk and get pretty close on the...More

We did a quick loop up to Nubble Lighthouse on our way to the Boston area. I have always wanted to go to Maine and this was just over the border and seeing a lighthouse on the Maine coast was just enough of a taste...More

So the parking is not great, but after a couple of circles we finally nabbed a spot. The view is gorgeous! Photo opportunity for sure.

Lovely and quaint Lighthouse on an island. Cannot actually go up to the lighthouse as it is on its own island. We had lovely views, blue skies and made for wonderful pictures. Parking is limited so need to be patient while waiting for someone to...More

I looked around a bit and couldn't find an exact answer to that question. I would think they would come when the sun is down? Just a guess.

Don't think so. Again, you can't actually tour the lighthouse, but the grounds around it are cool too. It's probably a dusk to dawn type hours.

Theres not really a path. There are some benches scattered around, with a dirt/grass area to get to them. There are rocks as well that people sit on. I think a stroller should be fine to get to one of the benches.
