Ton's of stuff to look through on weekends, more limited weekdays.

I've been here twice and the first time was on a Saturday when it was jammed with vendors and customers. The other time was a weekday and there were far fewer vendors.

Visit before Columbus Day. We have gone here for years and normally is is very large and has diverse vendors. However, we just found out that they close the week after Columbus Day. Normally they're open Wednesday Saturday and Sunday. We went on a Wednesday after Columbus Day, and the vendor attendance was very very light so be aware.

There is quite an assortment of collectibles in this place, but the best days to go are Saturday and Sunday, Wednesday, does not have as many dealers, so would probably be a big disappointment.

A vendor at a flea market in Portland said "Go to Montsweag if ya want a flea market with the good stuff. It's the real deal!" I have to agree. Started in 1977, the Montsweag Flea Market has become known for having a higher percentage of collectibles and antiques among its 125 tables. Many of the vendors have been selling... More

Visited the market on a Wednesday. Many, many empty tables. Most venders were packing up even though over an hour left to be open. Only Recycled Retro lived up to expectations. Felt more like a yard sale than a well-established destination for collectible and antiques. Only the fact that Georgetown Pottery has a gallery right up the road saved it... More

Yesterday was my first time attending this Flea Market, and I was very nervous. It was the first time I would be taking part and showing my picture coasters that I have been making all winter long. I am shy, and was nervous about the experience. I was worried for nothing. The people are absolutely the most amazing, friendly, warm... More

Living in Maine, we have a stream of summer guests. Ranked right up there with lobster, lighthouses and Maine,s beauty is a visit to Montsweag flea market. Our daughters always love to shop there as Everyone has been friendly and helpful. A huge variety at great prices brings them back time and again.

I've been a patron of Montsweag Flea Market for over 20 years. I always have a good time and find great deals. Get there early, grab some breakfast at the food stand and take your morning Moxie with you while you shop.

Hard to believe. Apparently the grounds are owned by a woman who came after my wife, who was carrying our 4month old baby in her arms. My wife was walking her very well trained dog without a leash, which is against the rules (she didn't know, there was no sign) The owner said something about a leash to my wife... More

This is the kind of place I look for in a Flea Market. Large, varied, all sorts of vintage and non-vintage items, reasonable pricing and generally affable vendors. It is certainly not so upscale that you can't find a bargain. The vendors are either very knowledgable or know how to bait the verbal hook or both. Most offer a long... More
