I come here often because it is a peaceful, beautiful 1 mile loop through the woods and marsh. The views are amazing. When I leave I am relaxed and uplifted.

We walked the mile long loop. Very beautiful scenery. Walking through the woods, but with views of the tidal marsh and the ocean. A brochure explains what you are seeing along the way. Great place to spend an hour or so outdoors.

We stopped here on my way back from Kennebunkport and we were very pleasantly surprised with what we found. Wide-open trails, beautiful vistas and easy access made for a fun family afternoon.

An easy level one-mile stroll includes 12 lookouts from which to observe nature's way. Wonderful way to clue people in to this region's ecological significance.

We've walked the trails at Rachel Carson many times. The peace and serenity is almost overwhelming. A must see when you are in down east Maine. Lovely views of salt marshes and the Atlantic.

Well maintained trails with good interpretive signage. Very easy walking for all ages. Interest mix of trees and birds with proximity to ocean, estuaries and wetlands.

The NWR is in wells Maine. There are three sites within 5 miles. Sea vu, wells beach resort, moody beach rv camping. We didn't get to go but went to ogunquit Maine. I'm sure some around there as well.
