Due to the generosity of the Lunder's, Colby's Museum of Art is one of the best in the country. Lots of varied display spaces and a wide array of art and media make this a very pleasant way to spend a few hours. While American Art is the big draw, there are plenty of other gems in the collection.

The Colby Museum of Art if one of the best collections of American art in the country. The collection is very strong and extremely well presented. If you get the chance to have a guided tour, enjoy the very knowledgeable docents. Exhibits change regularly. Always worth a visit!

We are well traveled local residents born here in the Waterville proper and with that revelation I/we have a natural bias for all things Waterville. I am a local graphic designer (30 yrs.) here in the region with a formal Boston art school education and my wife an accomplished Master Engraver. Admittedly I/we are far from authoritative critics regarding things... More

A recent donation has made this the largest art collection in Maine. The college is right off the highway and a great stop if you need to break up the drive.

I always see something new when I go to this museum. I enjoyed the folk art exhibit I viewed during my most recent visit.

Nice building with small, decent (paintings), art collection. Good enough to visit if you can get in for free! I saw what I needed to see in 5 minutes.

We had some time in town so drove to this museum. What a great pleasure! The Landry collection is wonderful with the quality and variety of art pieces plus the weather vane display. Small museums are so much better than the large ones to avoid tiring so go see this one. And don't forget some cash to donate in the... More

Went on a rainy day, but walking into the museum cheered all of us up. So many different exhibits and touched every sense!!! Never knew what might be around the next corner.

A versatile and beautifully curated museum with audio-commentary and something there for children (current exhibit of weathervanes and old shop signs), for traditionalists (colonial portraiture), for those with modernist sensibilities, (Sol LeWitt and, if you like him, Alex Katz) and usually a political edgy exhibit as well (such as Margolies' stunningly powerful feminist quilting project against violence done to women.)...
