In addition to themed exhibits, there is lots of memorabilia gracing the walls and binders full of photos and other information to browse through. If you have an island connection, plan to say for awhile.

My grandfather lived and is buried on Vinalhaven. His sister, my great Aunt lived there. I visited here as a child and LOVED it. A "must see" for history keepers of the area.

I'd go again as it is not possible to take it all in. Pictures, old kitchen tools, advertisements, and tidbits about how they use to live-its all there. Allow plenty of time.

Well preserved,meticulously maintained collection of Island history. I particularly enjoyed the photographic history of the Island from it 's granite quarrying days to present day.
