We spent several hours there and cooked out and then walked some of the trails. It's a great place to have a picnic with a beautiful view. They also have nice restrooms. The trails are well-marked and have nice views along the water. I think they charge per person to come in instead of per car so check that if... More

This is so handy for travelers and locals. The walking path(s) total about a mile and one can walk right along the edge of the ocean. There are lovely granite boulders for resting and there are benches and picnic tables and restrooms. It is a wonderful GEM.

I cannot say enough how wonderful it is to drive this state and find so many gems and lotsa history. Yes this is one of the smaller ones but please go and see for yourself and bring the kiddies.

The Maine coast is so inviting. We were driving by and stopped to look at the shore up close...there are trails to hike, picnic tables, interpretive signs that describe the local seafood, the islands in view...great place for a picnic...bring your lobster dinner...

This park has level walking trails almost anyone could travel. Nice openings to the ocean. Clean, pretty picnic area.

You won't be sorry you turned into Moose Point State Park in Searspoint, Maine, near Belfast. The cost is minimal for a lovely view of Penobscot Bay with many picnic tables, clean restroom facilities, and a beach. It's right off highway one! There's even playground equipment for children. Maine knows what families, couples and solos need: a rest, lovely picnic... More

Great walking trails, good for younger kids and dogs allowed. Can picnic in warmer weather and a playground for kids.

Moose Point is not a destination park, but rather a great place to stop and have a picnic and go for a stroll through the woods and along the water. We used to stop there when we'd be on vacation, then liked the area enough to move here. It's the perfect place to stop for lunch (which you must bring)... More

Not too many folk here which made our visit all the more worthwhile. I sat by the water and read my book while Deb took our little Boston/Beagle Dougal for a walk on the trails through the woods.

In and out in two minutes. It is on the water, so ok, good view for a few minutes. There are some nature trails, Overall, this is a tiny place, and I don't see much value in visiting here.
