We stopped in to ask questions and the staff person was very enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable about the Puffins. It was wonderful hearing the history of the puffins and how they have made a comeback in Maine. Great exhibits and would be wonderful for children!

Cool little information "store" on the main strip in Rockland. Has some souvenirs and a continuously running video that discusses the puffin population of Maine. No admission cost. Friendly staff.

This is a wonderful little puffin center, with a great video about the bringing of puffins back to Maine. We stop here every visit. Great for children

The lady that was there was very informative about the Puffins, I learned a lot on this visit. The educational movie that they proved added a lot to this event.

Regardless of your interests or reason for being in Rockland- this is a must see because just an hour or so off the coast is a rocky island that hosts a miracle come-back from extinction of puffins in the USA due to the tireless work...More

The center is a wealth of info on the puffin life cycle and the story of their near extinction and slow but successful comeback. The clerk/docent was excellent in guiding us through the exhibits and answered every question. The gift shop was full of irresistible...More

OK...good for general information on Puffins. Lots of photos. Films available. Opportunity to make contributions. I was hoping to see some real puffins, but guess I need a boat ride for that.

The Project Puffins Center doesn't have live puffins. The puffins nest on offshore islands and can only be seen by boat. There are a number of puffin cruises - we did one from Boothbay Harbor, but there are cruises from... More
