What a great visit. Plenty to see, reasonable admission rates. Fascinating. Our 5 and 4 year old sons enjoyed thoroughly too, even without understanding what the place was.

Well maintained Fort to explore. Bring a flashlight for maximum enjoyment! Could be a bit scary for young children but you could stick to the main passages. Bring a picnic. Observatory offers a fabulous view of the surrounding area.

The observation deck would of been impressive enough but the kids had a blast exploring the fort. The price is well worth it. $5 for adults/ $1/kids. I'd pay triple that and have at comparable places like Niagara Falls, a fort in Bermuda etc and...More

This was a great fort to visit, and the history was on display in a well presented manner. The wild blueberries on the bank above the number 2 battery were worth the entry fee. Watch the narrows below the fort for seals, porpoises and of...More

It was interesting visiting to fort. It is well maintained and there is a good amount of historical information. There are some great views of Bucksport. If you go to the Fort the Observatory is a "must visit".

Hi, if you are on a tight schedule you can do both in no more than an hour. And of course, if you want to read all the panels at the museum or shop at the museum store, you'll need a little extra. Good luck and have fun

sorry to say I don't remember but I think it was more like $15 but you had the observatory and the battle scene at fort knox with a lot of walking around and the fort to see along with them shooting off cannon balls
