Pretty place for a winter walk.

The regular paths are very nice for a quiet walk in the snow covered woods. To go on the various trails bring snowshoes. Very scenic and peaceful.

My wife and I had a great hike to North Peak. The new Notch Trail was very pleasant and peaceful. The views from the top were outstanding! The North Peak down was very steep (no switchbacks). Only for those in good shape.

This is Maine's oldest state park and campground and in some ways, it shows. The campground is small and the sites on the inner side of the loop are very close together with little to no privacy. We stayed in site 28, which ended up being much closer to the group camping than it appears on the campground map. There... More

We had originally planned to camp, but the weather was not going to cooperate fully. Therefore, we stayed in a nearby motel. But we decided to spend the next beautiful morning checking the park out for our next visit. It was nice. Even though the campground site descriptions list many of the sites as "not level", most of the ones... More

My husband, 2 dogs and I spent a great three days here. It was quiet and quite beautiful. The camping area has about 30 sites with no hook-ups, but has a shower and bathroom building with flush toilets that is centrally located. There is a small lake a short walk from the campground. We would stay here again. There is... More

This is a very nice place to come for the day or to spend a night or two. There is a beautiful lake to fish at or take a kayak or canoe out on. The scenery is majestic and sometimes you can even spot a bald eagle flying around looking for some lunch. There is a picnic area to have... More

Aroostook State Park is a beautiful gem. Snow shoeing and skiing in winter, amazing walks with stunning views once the snow goes. Suitable for all!

Planned a local get away with the family. We packed up the car and the gear and went tenting at Aroostook State Park. The campsite was clean and well maintained. The facilities (shower areas, bathrooms, the kitchen shelter) were top notch. Everything was clean, very well maintained, and stocked. They have a volunteer attendant to help campers, and help with... More
