We should have read reviews in detail before going, as it appears what we were looking to get out of our trip on the Frances simply isn't what the Captain wishes to offer. Others mentioned that you don't get any information out of the trip. That may be an understatement. My family did the Weekly Summer Vegetable Delivery trip. The... More

We booked an oysters and white burgundy wines tasting sunset cruise with Maine Sailing Adventures. Sommelier Erica Archer was a lot of fun to listen to and took very good care of her guests. Captain Megan and her crew made the cruise very enjoyable. This is the happy hour to beat every happy hour we've ever had.

Enjoy a sailing cruise on Casco Bay aboard the sailboat Frances. This is not a "tour" in which a guide continually talks to you, rattling off facts about the surrounding area. We did not tour around the local lighthouses, but rather went calmly sailing out into the bay. Very relaxing. The captain and her crew were friendly and happily talked... More

We had a 3-day sales conference. During one of the afternoons we were aboard Maine Sailing Adventures where Captain Megan Jones took the 35 of us out to sea for a wonderful afternoon sail. We had wine, beer, snacks from Aurora Provisions during our 2-hour cruise. The staff was incredibly friendly and the trip beautiful. With one simple phone call... More

Overall this was a great and affordable sail that for us, lasted about 2 hours and 10 minutes. The crew talked a bit about safety and the history of the boat before setting sail. Other than that they did not provide any commentary, but some people asked crew members questions, which they seemed happy to answer. I didn't buy anything... More

We went with a group of 6 adults and 5 children, ages 2-8, and we all had a good time. I will say that if you are looking for a guided, informative tour, this isn't it. They basically sail you an hour out into the bay, turn around, and come back. There isn't any explanation of what you are sailing... More

My group of five adult, family members along with our little dog joined this early evening tour after signing up right at the booth on the dock. The tour boat was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the tour guide and crew were friendly and welcoming. We were genuinely amazed at the quality and value of this experience, in terms of... We went out on a cloudy night for the acoustic sunset cruise with Meg and her crew and had one of the best nights of our trip. The boat was perfect for our kids (four of them - ages 13 to 5) with plenty of room to explore - but nice high sides so we didn't have to worry about... More

I have had the pleasure sailing aboard the Frances many times. The crew and Meg always do an excellent job at making you feel welcome and crusiing around the islands. My company uses it frequently for client or staff appreciation events.

This tour started off with a land portion including a trip to the lighthouse. But the fun part was sailing on a restord sailing schooner. Our trip started out with good weather, but a rain squal moved in. This is a fun tour, but it is very important to dress warmly. If there is a chance or rain, bring a... More
