A historic attraction. It is one of those attractions that you hear everyone talking about so you feel you have to see it. It is what it is--a cemetery.

It's an old cemetery, but needs some attention and many of the monuments are worn off and unreadable.

Burials from the 1600s! Many of the older headstones were worn beyond being legible. But they have a good map and guided tours. And it's close to the center of town (1/2 mile).

Awesome place to visit to see many different head stones! This is the first cemetery in Maine so it's headstones are very cool to see!

Lawn care is out of this world. Sadly, so are the people that reside here. I will certainly come back!

This cemetery stands quietly on the Eastern Prommenade of Portland. Incredibly rich in history, it's been used since the 1600's. In spite of the city noise you can't help but feel the history here.

Took the last Sunday morning tour of the 2016 season. Angela was our tour guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cemetery and it's history! After the tour had ended, she helped me locate where my family was buried.
