This is the real deal. Check out the Sea Bags factory and store while you are there but be careful to avoid the sea gulls bombing from overhead

Watching the ships come in with Lobster galore was fun. Gorgeous boats-some on vacation- others delivering goods - Juts sit and watch the water traffic go by.

What isn't located on Commercial Street. Still an active seaport (Norwegian Gem docked during our visit), bubbling with activity. Great place to spend the day. Plenty of places to eat.

There are lots of shops to browse through right next to the harbor. Some interesting Art shops and of course lots of restaurants.

This was a relatively new street built to connect the two main railway stations some hundred or so years ago. The land is all reclaimed/filled in. This is our water front with the wharfs, fishing boats, fish markets, ferries and schooners. A beautiful street to...More

I assumed you meant for a dinner out. The fish market on the waterfront has a variety of fresh fish to buy and take home.

Yes, everything will be open. Except for some beaches/resorts, Maine never closes!

I think it was called Blue Lobster. It is on commercial street right across the street from the tour ticket booth. It is on the corner. They had a pretty good selection as well as some $6.00 t-shirts. Good luck.
