The small museum is near a somewhat isolated 159-year-old lighthouse, which makes it less crowded with tourists, especially in the spring and late fall. The museum itself is dependent on donations, with very nice people working there, who will answer your questions. The historical exhibits...More

Love visiting all the light houses in the area..they always seem to offer a good view and photo op. Not much to do here except to stop and enjoy the scenery. Nice little addition to our trip.

We had a great time riding out to this Lighthouse. It's definitely a drive off the main highway especially with the "detour" due to road work. It was still definitely worth going. Picturesque scenery along the way and once you get out there the views...More

Iconic Maine lighthouse with wonderful views and lovely museum. Go into the back room and look at the notebooks that chronicle all sorts of local events over the years.

Very nice views of the light house. Small museum which operates on donations. Very limited parking at end of a single track road. This is the lighthouse that Forrest Gump was running to in the film.
