We arrived at low tide and watched the high tide coming in. There were Eagles nesting in a tree across the water. The water was moving fast and churning. We brought lawn chairs and snacks to make a morning of it. Flies and mosquito were...More

While this spot is a bit off the beaten path it is well worth the time. Take a blanket and lunch and/or chairs. You will need to plan on a short walk and then some challenging paths to get the best views. There may be...More

This is a must-see if you are in the area. The best time for viewing is at high tide. Check the tide charts. You can watch and watch and still not believe your eyes. The water comes in from the Bay of Fundy and in...More

Off the beaten path, but catch it at the right tidal time & this confluence of opposing tidal flows is breathtaking! A true hidden gem!

We arrived about an hour before high tide in Eastport - that gave us time to get lost and re-find the trail that goes to the rock outcropping to watch the changing of the tides - it ends up being (guessing) about a half hour...More
