Something for everyone?

My 14 year old son chose it for his birthday outing an absolutely loved it. We all did actually! We ended up getting the annual pass. What a great place!

Lots of different kinds vehicles from many different years. Big! My feet hurt by the time I had seen it all.

Been to Owl's Head any times for festivals and celebrations but this is the first quiet time for a visit. The collection of cars, motorcycles and planes is truly amazing. You can easily spend the whole day there!

Banish the idea of a stodgy old museum. This place is tastefully laid out with great displays and narratives. One can see old motorcycles, airplanes and cars, along with visiting the restorative areas. Well worth the money for a trip down memory lane.

A must see for all gearheads! Nicely displayed assortment of vehicles and good videos about pioneers in auto design, racing, flying and motorcycling.

My husband and I enjoyed a few hours viewing and photographing the collection. I just went along to make my husband happy but I enjoyed it too. They were offering free rides in a model A Ford. It was really fun and the driver was very friendly. It would have been helpful to have volunteers spread around the museum to... More

Excellent display and chronology of autos and aircraft of the area and time. Uniquely, ALL of the vehicles and planes displayed run and can be driven or flown. A must see for car buffs.

This museum was not the largest transportation museum I had ever been to, but it had some things that I had never seen before. We happened to be there on a day that they were having a Classic Car Show and they also had some of the airplanes out of the museum on the field. They are located next to... More

A tour group from Oceania's Regatta brought us to this wonderful museum in coastal Maine. Founded years ago by three friends including Thomas J. Watson, Jr. (of IBM fame), the Owl's Head museum is extensive, beautifully organized and very educational. Replicas of the earliest aircraft (pre-dating even the Wright brothers), great old cars in immaculate condition, and all the history... More
