One of the nicest lighthouses in Maine. I love the view from the bottom of the steep stairs to the lighthouse above. Great views from the top.

Visited the light house on a cold January day. A short walk to the light house (This time of the year the walk was icy in spots). Neat old light house with expansive views of the Maine Mid Coast. A great spot for some photo...More

What stunning vistas! A short hike from the parking lot and then some stairs to get up to the base of the lighthouse - well worthy the time and effort! A gentleman pointed out a queen eider duck below us; love when people share what...More

This is a cool place that is worth a quick visit. Great views from the edge of Owl's Head. The light itself is actually pretty short, as it's on top of the hill. But this also means you can climb stairs to be very close...More

Enjoyed the walk in the woods to the light. Wish we could have gone in. The walk down to the beach was nice, not sure one would swim though. Cute gift shop on site.

Was an interesting moment in history to read about the lighthouse in the magnificent Maine coastline and how they buried their dog by the base of the stairs very sweet

We took our dog up - - didn't see any signs saying they are prohibited. Please note though that space is at a premium up there so don't take you pooch if there are many people around.
