We drove to Perkins Cove and walked the path along the coast. It was a scenic and beautiful walk. At the conclusion of the walk, we visited recommended locations and for a whopping $2/pp ride the trolley back to our rental car.

What a grant time we had walking along Perkins Cove...wonderful shops, ice cream and an amazing view to take in. Parking is tricky but with patience, you can find one. The parking is limited to 2 hours or pay to park in a open lot....More

Very pretty place to visit. Boys loved watching the boats. There were lots of fun and interesting shops to visit as well. It started out brisk today but became very sunny! Definitely come to Maine with layers.

Perkins Cove is a must see on your visit to Ogunquit. Lots of restaurants and souvenir shops line the cove, which has spectacular views. Make sure to go to The Lobster Shack or The Trap ( same owners) for a lobster roll, yummy!

Don't go in or near Ogunquit without stopping here. Great place for shopping, eating and walking. The Harbor is beautiful and the footbridge is neat too. Definitely walk around on Marginal Way!

We were originally told by a local that Perkins Cove had places to dine and shop. Our first walk to the area, we ate at Oarweed restaurant, then we walked the Marginal Way. Later we were told by another local that there was a lobsterman...More

Shops and restaurants make for an enjoyable experience after or before walking the Marginal Way. There is a fee for parking and it is limited

My favorite place in Ogunquit. It doesn’t get any more picturesque than Perkins Cove. Small shops wind their way around the narrow streets and the drawbridge is surrounded by small boats. Watch the fishing charters return from sea. Walk along the sea with crashing waves....More

A nice variety of gifts, high and low priced, jewelry, and souvenirs. You can get on a lobster boat or fishing charters out of here.

I THINK that some would be closed by then but we have not been there that late in the year for a long time. We usually go in September after the schools open and most, if not all, are still open then.

After Labor Day things start to wind down at Perkins Cove. If you have some specific shops you want to visit, I'd check on line to see if they're open and what their hours are. I've never gone to Perkins Cove after Labor... More
