I've been going to this park, also known in my family as "the Gray Animal Farm", since I was little. It's a great place to bring small children as the paths are wide and the park isn't as large as going to a zoo. Most...More

If you want to see Maine wildlife up close and personal, this is the place to go. Most of the animals here are rescued injured animals or have lost their mothers or have been abandoned. Nice programs by Maine iF&W personnel.

I have been visiting Maine Wildlife Park since I was very young. I remember it being Gray Animal Farm, and I remember it before the Dry Mills Fish Hatchery opened. I also remember this facility being absolutely sad and dirty. Luckily, the past has gone...More

The park is a worthwhile visit, with various animals that populate the state of Maine on show. They're all there because they can't be in the wild for various reasons so it's not a zoo, more a sanctuary. The bears and moose were highlights but...More

Love this park of native Maine animals in Gray. It serves the dual purpose of giving wildlife a home if they can't survive in the wild, and letting people see the variety of animals out there. So like any zoo, it's educational and fun, with...More

Loved that the animal areas were large and well set up. A great place to see the animals native to Maine, including a few rarer varieties, that I hadn't seen before. The beaver was actively making a dam, the red foxes cavorting with each other,...More
