I used to absolutely love Freeport and it used to have an exciting array of shops with plenty of fashion outlets and home furnishings. Sadly, it is no longer as good as it was but still worth a visit if you are nearby. I particularly...More

L.L. Beans pretty much owns the town, but there are a lot of other outlet stores available to shop in. Great restaurants as well.

We live relatively close to the Freeport outlets and will stop by on a regular basis, most often on a weekend. We usually stop in because we are looking for something specific, or just to have lunch or dinner. It can get a bit crowded,...More

Great variety of stores, something for everyone. Sweet little town with tons of character and very well kept. Just the right size for walking around.

We spent the afternoon at the outlets. We found some good deals and had fun browsing and people watching. Ate lunch at Johnny Rockets, terrific burger for my husband and an amazing BLT for me. Topped off with a shared chocolate shake that was soooo...More

So the advantage is this has some outlets you would not normally find at others e.g. Abercrombie and fitch and Dooney Boorke. It's not easily accessible with a buggy and is miserable in the rain. Not too bad for bargains

This really is a great place for shopping. We spent a long time just meandering through the little town. It's not a traditional mall- each store is like a little house. It makes a town. There is quite a bit of waking so good shoes...More

The prices aren't as good as outlets elsewhere, and the shops have various closing times, so you could end up missing some if you arrive in the evening.

Doubtful - Freeport isn't a mall, it's a real town that was taken over by stores. The anchor is LL Bean - check with them. If there's a shuttle or other means of getting there from the Maine Mall, they would know. TIP... More

I have another suggestion. Call LL Bean and ask. I am sure they can tell you what the outlet hours will be on the days you'very asked about.

Hampton Inn visit Challenger the bronze moose. Also Fairfield Inn by Maine Mall. Most of hotels in town are bed and breakfast style and on the pricey side
