The view from the hills above the town and bay was wonderful and because the day was rainy and windy, we were thankful to be able to drive up. The trails we walked on briefly were also great. Such a panoramic vista was wonderful even...More

This State Park is beautiful and the view from the overlook at the summit after the "drive up" is spectacular. However, there are no warnings provided when paying admission nor are there warning signs near the rocks of the overlook. They do not appear damp...More

Wasn't sure what to expect...So glad we went to the top after paying $4.50 per person. The view was breathtaking. The water, the islands, boats, the village. Took lots of pictures. Next time will bring a picnic lunch and hang out longer.

Make sure to take some of the trails because the views down to the Harbor in the village fo Camden are spectacular and offer the Maine you think of with the boats in the harbor.

We stayed at the Mt Battie Inn just down the road from the entrance. Drove up to Mt Battie and that is a must see. Make sure you come back at sunset too. Also took the hike up Megenticook (about 1 mile) some rocks and...More

The drive to the top is steep but not really long. You can also park and hike through the park, but we chose to just go up to the top. There is a breathtaking view of the harbor and the surrounding hills as a reward!...More

The views are fabulous from this area. I use a cane and found it very easy to navigate around the area so I'm sure a walker or wheel chair won't have much problem.

Yes. The grades are steep buy brief. There's plenty of parking at the summit and the road loops around to the exit.

The road to the summit of Mt. Battie is only 1.5 miles long. There are 25 miles of hiking trails in this 6,200 acre park.
