I give this a 5 not because it's the world's or even the town's best museum but because it was the home of one of our country's greatest heroes, Chamberlain. Over the years it has been restored and now it is a gem of 19th...More

If you are really into civil war history than this is for you, if not then reconsider going. An excellent piece of American and specifically Maine history.

We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour, which led us through many of the rooms, pointed out interesting artifacts belonging to the Chamberlain family, and gave us a good overview of the life and accomplishments of a very important figure in the Civil War.

Stopped in for a brief visit on our way from Bar Harbor to Portland. Tour lasts an hour, but we talked the guide(Steve) into giving us an abridged version (30 minutes). Well worth the $8.50 admission price. I consider myself a student of Chamberlain's life...More

I have a 20th Maine hat and today I wore it at Gettysburg. There were two guides at Little and Big Round Top and they loved the hat and asked where I got it. Do you sell 20th Maine hats, mugs, shirts, etc.?
