Glenn led our afternoon "Wildlife Tour". I kayak all over and was excited for the trip. The water was calm and the surroundings were simply magnificent. You could have put your paddle down and just drifted to clear your mind. It was gorgeous. But there was very little wildlife and it seemed like they knew that because we were told... More

Thanks for your feedback, Forfeitboy! The calm days at the end of summer can be some of the best for just sitting in the boats and watching the world go by. While we can predict the large-scale patterns of some of our migratory or seasonal birds, the day-to-day sightings can be a little more uncertain as the seasons change. The... More

So today had 20 mph wind gust from the north which never happens and the people at Tidal were very nice about making sure we knew that. They gave us clear direction on where to go and we went out for a one hour tour on our own and made the best of it. I knew the weather wasn't great... More

Eric, We're so glad to hear that the wind didn't hinder the fun! As you said, a strong north wind is rare for us to experience, but we're always focused on making our customers' kayaking experiences the best they can be regardless of the weather. Come back and visit us again soon! TTKC More

We spent the afternoon very leisurely kayaking. We went to Ram Island back and forth. It was scenic and low key. Obviously it has nothing to do with the outfitters, but the scenery was brilliant. Our guide, Evan, was affable and upbeat. He was knowledgable about the town, the history and the wildlife, making the trip that much more enjoyable.... More

Great experience. Enjoyed kayaking out to burnt island lighthouse. Trip was just enough for kids (15, 12). The staff at tidal transit were great very helpful, gave some good tips on proper kayaking which I did my best to adopt.

Amazing excursion! Travis, TTK owner, added a guide so our extended family could go together. Guides Parker & Evan were wonderful and set just the right pace for our group! Harbor seals were a bonus!

Loved this tour! Tour guide was an absolute doll and he made it easy for 3 first time kyackers. Pace was easy. We felt safe the entire time navigating through a harbor full of giant boats. By the end, it was honestly the most relaxed I had been in months.

If you are visiting in the Boothbay Harbor area and want to do some kayaking, this is the company to call. It is rare that I experience people who are so committed to pleasing customers. I rented a kayak, but next time I will sign up for one of their tours.

Tidal Transit delivered 2 kayaks including 1 double to our rental home. The 2 employees reviewed how to use the kayaks, provided a pump, several different size life jackets, a map of the area, and dry sacks. We had a great time exploring the area on the kayaks and used them for several days. Tidal Transit came and picked them... More

The staff were very helpful in pointing out where to go and what to look first. They offer 1 hour, 2 hour, half and whole day options so there is an option for everyone. They ask questions to see your experience level. Even experienced kayakers will get a brief safety review. Great way to spend a couple hours!
