Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a natural wonder on 270 acres of shorefront in mid-coast Maine. Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It's no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine's top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 April 15 - October 31 (open until 6 pm in July and August). There is a cafe and gift shop on site. A visit at any time is a memorable experience.

What a great place! Cute and fun - well cared for gardens. Great water views, loved the children's gardens, fairy houses, and 5 senses garden. Fair price to get in, nice staff, great way to spend an afternoon.

This is a superb botanical garden not to be missed by anyone nearby. The entire landscaping is neatly integrated into the natural forest. It started on a shoestring by a few visionaries ten years ago and has grown exponentially. We've been to many botanical gardens...More

We visited here on a day with beautiful weather, and it was lovely to walk around and see the spring flowers. We didn't have any children in our party, but there were many enjoying the children's gardens and tree house. The map makes everything look...More

If you enjoy taking photos and nature this place is for you. We sent over 2 hours leisurely walking around taking pictures and enjoying the views. If special note is the children's garden which were beautiful and entertaining for the kids.

Great spot to take your kids. Awesome kids area with garden, sand box, imaginative play area, tree house, book barn. Beautiful gardens. A bit pricey overall but good excursion for a couple of hours.

You can arrive in Boothbay Harbor but you would need to pass under a fixed bridge to get to the Gardens. It is tidal water so the clearance under the bridge varies. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call... More

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to avoid crowds but special attractions and guests are most often on weekends. It's really a large area so there should not be much crowding other than the ticket line and delightful restaurant.
