More
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a natural wonder on 270 acres of shorefront in mid-coast Maine. Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It's no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine's top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 April 15 - October 31 (open until 6 pm in July and August). There is a cafe and gift shop on site. A visit at any time is a memorable experience.

Coastal Maine Botanical Garden is a photographer's dream! If you're not a photographer you can actually smell the roses and just enjoy Life. The rich plantings blend with nature and thrive during Boothbay Harbor's summers. • Paths have gentle slopes and are easy to walk....More

This really was a gem and worth the trip. It is not too expensive and easy to navigate. Wheelchair uses will have little problem. If you have children, make sure you take them to the Children's Area. You and they will both have a ball.

This is the largest botanical garden in New England. The grounds parallel the water's edge, so there are multiple types of gardens. We spent almost two hours there. It was a place of peace and relaxation. I cannot imagine the labor required to maintain the...More

Stunning does not do the gardens justice. There are plantings for every one and add in the views of the river; it just does not get better. Most gardens do not have sufficient benches for contemplation. this has benches, rocks, thrones (!) everywhere. All of...More

We try to come here every year from Ohio. It is our favorite garden. And the upcoming improvements look amazing.

Every little nook and crany was filled with wonderful treats for the eyes. The Zen Garden, Fairy Garden & edible garden were so cool. Don't miss this special place.

This botanical garden outshines any we've ever seen! It's like walking through a seeds and flowers catalog - except you can smell and touch and feel. There is a "5 Senses Garden," a rose garden, a children's area, and so much more. Take the time...More

You can arrive in Boothbay Harbor but you would need to pass under a fixed bridge to get to the Gardens. It is tidal water so the clearance under the bridge varies. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call... More

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to avoid crowds but special attractions and guests are most often on weekends. It's really a large area so there should not be much crowding other than the ticket line and delightful restaurant.
