This trail is a great walk/hike! Easy to do, but with a lot of pay off. The views are gorgeous. We were probably here 2 to 3 hours. Not a strenuous hike/walk.

This trail quietly leads you along a beautiful wooded path and dramatically reveals a spectacular rocky ocean harbor reaching out into the water where sailboats glide and lobsterboats work. The climb is gently enough for the beginner hiker with some rocky patches...

The trail crosses itself twice on this. If you keep the to left as you go in, you will be more inland and climb over more low rocks and tree roots, but not bad and makes it interesting. Keeping to the right is along the...More

I loved this walk! We walked it during low tide, so i'm sure the view wasn't as spectacular, but it was still great. A must! Some places, the footing was a bit tricky, so wear appropriate shoes.

After visiting Bar Harbor year after year, we found this trail only this year. It's on the other side of the island--about 25 minutes drive but it is worth the drive. It is a moderate trail with many places to stop for a nice picnic....More

This is an easy short hike that brings you right to the ocean. You can deviate at several locations to explore inlets at low tide. Once you are on the ocean at the end of the trail, you can head off on your own on...More

This was one of the more picturesque walks we did in Acadia, although not very long (~2 km) and very easy. Just remember to put on a generous amount of mosquito repellent for the first part of the walk! If you make your way down...More

We loved this short 1.2 mile figure 8 trail. Amazingly well maintained. Mostly flat but some rocks, roots, steps and slight changes in elevation to be aware of. I would recommend going counterclockwise as the terrain goes more down then up this way. We saw...More

I could do this trail every day. A short trail, but combines woods, rocky shores, and bog walks along with breathtaking scenery.

Ships Harbor and Wonderland are only a quarter of a mile apart but absolutely no question -- Ships Harbor is the better choice. Both are easy jaunts. But at Ships Harbor there is a stretch bordering an inlet Harbor. Go as the tide is changing...More

The answers above are accurate, there are several variations and options in the walk to the ocean si it depends which one you take. If rocks and up and down little hills and uneven ground are not for you, then stay straight... More

It's not long -- about 2 km -- and an easy trail. The time it takes you to do it will depend how fast you walk, how often you stop, etc. It's a very nice trail, but use generous amount of mosquito repellent!
