A perfect setting for an international car launch. We drove there from Edinburgh airport, only 40 min away, and spent a couple of hours enjoying visiting the house itself and exploring the grounds which include a golf course uniquely located on the water's edge. Well maintained and worth a visit

A privately owned home offering tours only in June and July, 2 tours a day only on certain days. Only 8 of us on the tour today with the PA to the current Earl, filling in for a guide on holiday. A superb guide with so much knowledge and love of the house, the rooms on show are stunning with... More

Walking around the estate with the sound of gunfire , shooting innocent lives for "sport" sorry but what year do we live in this and other estates around the south queensferry area really need to get a grip , no lives should be taken, stop the hunt , canned birds bred for shooting , the estates have no compassion ,... We visited Dalmeny right after a visit to the nearby Hopetoun House and we definitely preferred Hopetoun. The price of admittance is pretty precious at Dalmeny, considering what you are allowed to do and see in the house. Not much, plainly. Dalmeny House is without a doubt a museum. The majority of the areas open to visitors are roped off... More

I do not feel a visit to this house is worth £10 you only see a few rooms on the ground floor. There is very little to see even in the dining room the table is not set. The guide was very good but when reflecting at the end all she really only told us about was the pictures. I... More

We have not been to the actual house, but cycled using the route 76. It's great. You can have some rest on one of the gorgeous beaches, enjoy observing people playing golf and of course admire the woodland paths.

A beautiful estate with views down the Firth of Forth and a nice mixture of roads and tracks for cyclists. Lots of lovely little hidden spots for a BBQ or a picnic. Plus it's nicely placed to get a drink in the sun either side of it - at South Queenseferry and Miller & Carter.

This review is about the grounds only. We walk through the estate grounds often on route to South Queensferry. Great views of the grounds, the river forth and the bridges. The woodland walk can be muddy or you can walk along the shore. Remember this is a working estate so keep to paths and notices may be posted advising of... More

Visiting this house is difficult as it is only open in June and July for tours only (2.15 and 3.30). But it is well worth trying to see the inside of it. We have a great informative tour by one of the guides which we thoroughly enjoyed.
