I visited Nottoway in Jan '17 for a business meeting. I stayed overnight in the overseers cottage. The room was nice, could use a little patch-up work and updating but it was clean. Bathroom the same. We utilized the conference room for the two day meeting. Breakfast was amazing, very delicious. Some of the best biscuits I've ever tasted. Visited... More

This was a surprise visit for my daughter on our Mother/Daughter get away. She knew we would be touring the home but had no clue we had reservations until we had parked in the parking lot. Her excitement made all the long hours of driving worth it! We arrived in late afternoon, check in was very easy and the staff... More

I visited this attraction as part of a day tour from the American Queen. It was the last stop on a seven-day itinerary and was the most disappointing of all the excursions. The main house is far less grand than other Southern LA plantations. Most disappointing were the unenthusiastic tour guides in their uncomfortable looking period costumes and the rude... More

I'm sorry you felt our house was far less grand than the other plantation homes you had visited on your journey throughout southern Louisiana. Here at Nottoway, we strive to showcase our grandeur, and it is fairly easy to do so since we are the largest remaining antebellum mansion in the south. I am interested in investigating your comments further... More

Tour guides dressed up in period costumes give informative tours of the mansion and explain why this mansion survived the civil war. Breathtaking views of this plantation from the Mississippi River levee. We went early in the morning when it opened and were the only two on the tour. The guide still gave us the full tour and the detailed... More

We stayed at Nottoway Plantation as part of our honeymoon trip. We received complementary tour tickets on arrival. The tour of the main house was excellent, very informative. The tour guide dresses up, which is a lovely touch. The place itself is so beautiful, it just blows you away. We stayed in the carriage house which was lovely and quiet.... More

This historic building is very well kept and beautiful to visit and get a feel of the history of this area. Survived the Civil War with only one cannon ball hitting the building. The tour is very well presented and the guides are very knowledgeable and courteous.

Good pitstop driving around Southern LA. For us not a place you would go twice but for sure a place not to miss out on It was a bit more expensive then I had prepared myself for but economies of scale I suppose. $76 for 4 of us ( mother/father/teen/6 year old )

My daughter and I enjoyed our visit very much. The grounds were landscaped beautifully. There are several paths around the property and benches to sit and enjoy the views. Our tour guide, Crystal, gave a very informative tour. You can take pictures and even touch/sit on furniture. I'll definitely go back for another visit.

We stopped on our Southern Louisiana Road trip. Was late afternoon and last guided tour had left. We chose the self tour with the electronic device. Shortly after we went inside we met up with a guide with 2 visitors and asked to join them. The guided tour is much better. We were told all about the part we had... More

Had a Groupon for this Plantation which we visited on our way to New Orleans. Interesting historical tour; beautiful house and grounds. Restaurant looked wonderful but we didn't have time to dine there.
