RV camping was perfect. However, walking through the park we saw a creepy guy in a late model car driving towards the south campground. When we got back to our campground, he was just coming out of the deserted bathroom, got in his car, and left in the same direction we saw him come in. So take protection if the... More

This is a great park with over 100 camp sites. From tent campers to Class A's, everyone should be able to find a place. We stayed in a 32' foot 5th wheel. One has to be careful as some sites are not level, and trees may prohibit slide extension. I called the park directly with my needs and found a... More

Deluxe cabins are great. Very clean on the inside. Only complaint is the glass walls are getting dirty. We have been going there twice a year for about 15 years and every time they seem to be a litter more dirty slightly hindering the view. Also we had reservations for the kids birthday but they drained and closed the lake... More

Our family took our first trip family camping to Chicot State Park. We got there and pitched our tent. Right as we were finishing, it started to rain on us, then that night we noticed that everyone was sliding off their mattresses because we pitched our tent on a slope. But this is all operator error/weather error. This state park... More

We went here for the first time this past weekend. We rented a deluxe cabin at $150/night. The furniture is very outdated. Can definitely use upgrading. The screened in porch could also use a good pressure wash. Spiders everywhere. We should have pitched a tent outside we may have endured the same experience. Other than cabin furniture being outdated, and... More

My family and I went camping at Chicot, first time. When we got there, some one was in the spot we had reserved. Not happy, so we "took" his. It was a horrible spot. It was at a slant and we could not level our camper correctly. We went to the office and the let us pick our own spot.... More

Chicot State Park has camping and cabins. We have a camper and like to camp on the North Campground since there is nice bathrooms and a place to wash clothes. There is also a splash pad which is small but nice "when it is working" They have many hiking trails around a large swamp. There is also a nature center... More

We booked a cabin and attended the Prairie Heritage Festival. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. pleasantly surprised with the dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent available. I know it's a state park but these deluxe cabins are so spacious and really nice until you get to the bedrooms. The mattresses are so extremely uncomfortable we didn't rest... More
