Lived here most of my life and only been here twice. This is truly a hidden gem! So many beautiful paintings and so very beautiful walking paths especially in the spring when the flowers are in bloom. This "gem" cannot all be seen in a few minutes. It takes several hours to take it all in. You won`t be disappointed!

Outstanding museum with beautiful gardens and walking paths. Wife and I spent at least 2 hours in the museum with friends. Amazed at the variety of exhibits from pre-Civil war to modern day. Never seen such wide collection of guns. Gardens are spectacular when azaleas are blooming in Spring.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon admiring the art, sculptures, extensive gun collections - and especially the dolls that were dressed in Period dress with a detailed explanation of the time frame. In the Spring, Azaleas are blooming and brides take pictures using them for a backdrop

This is really worth taking in on a leisurely Sat/Sun afternoon. Don't rush. I spent 2.5 hrs there this afternoon and didn't come close to seeing 1/2 the collection. Eclectic collection of paintings, sculpture, and other items of historical significance. Tends to lean towards American art. Beautiful grounds w/flowers and walking trails covering 40 acres.

They interviewed my father, who is 91 years old to preserve his memories as a WW2 veteran. He was treated wonderfully with honor and respect for his service. The Norton is more than just Art,...... It is preserving history.

We took a granddaughter there for the purpose of taking pictures of a granddaughter suitable for framing. Success was ours! The surroundings were beautiful, with an abundance of flowering plants, benches, and lush grass. We were thrilled with the results. Scored at the top!

Visiting to S'Port for other purposes and decided to make a Dad's- Daughter road trip day with my 19 yr old. She is artsy and enjoys adventure. After a good breakfast and a stop at the guitar shop, we came here "to see" . At first we were a little skeptical. Then I saw the original Remington painting. We inquired... More

What a great collection. My favorites are the American paintings section. I fell in love with several paintings here. My favorite is Thyangboche Monestary painted by Peter Ellenshaw - breathtaking! Bob Timberlake's Snow at the Studio is also lovely. And there are many more! The ground and neighborhood are also very beautiful.
