Natchidoches is such a fun town to visit. Front Street right across from the Cane River has several stores ranging from an incredible hardware store to kitchen gadgets to clothes to interior decor. Plus great restaurants cafes for foodies! If you stick around Front Street after dark, you might get lucky and enjoy fireworks on the river!

We took a quick trip through the area and really liked this small historic shopping area. The grounds and river area are well maintained and inviting. While we were only there for a few hours we hope to return (when it's not so hot) and stay in one of the many B & B's in the area.

Went here this June with two friends. we were very pleased with the historic district in Natchitoches. The front street area is not only beautful but the little shops and stores and restaurants were fantastic. The old general store is a must see for everyone. Everyone was so friendly and helpful...we took the carriage ride to see historic homes and... More

Loved the shops and museums. Great visitors center! I enjoyed the walking and driving tour for Steel Magnolias. LA Sports Hall of Fame was awesome!

A lot of the sops were closed so we were not able to visit. The soap shop was very nice as we're the people that worked there. The view of the river across the street was nice.

Very well kept and nice shopping area along a pretty river with a park like setting. Generally friendly people, but parking a bit hard to come by. Worth a visit if your in the area.

Quaint, charming, relaxing and great people. That's why shopping in the historic district in Natchitoches is second to none.

I came to town for the craft fair but decided to walk through all the shops on main street. Folks were friendly but I was disappointed with the items in the shops. Most seemed like craft projects or were made in Japan items. The general store was fun but very expensive, they did have a lot of the old time... More

Lucky enough to find a parking spot on Front Street. Took a stroll send walked into the fine shops, which included antiques, linen. Clothes, kitchen items, food, toys and much more. Went into the minor basilca for a quiet break before lunch. Could easily spend a couple of mornings enjoying this area.
