Pretty gardens

We visited as we had NT cards, can be pretty expensive if you don't. Good for a walk around the lake however the house is being renovated so the whole of the upstairs is shut!

Loads of parking, very helpful visitors centre, lovely walks through the woods. The house is beautiful and interesting, perfect venue for children lots of activities for them , nice coffee shop, bit pricy but money goes to the upkeep so understandable. A great Sunday morning outing .

This place is very local to us and walk round as least once a month, beautiful house over looking the lake where you can sit in the summer. The gardens are always kept lovely and tidy. Nice shop and cafe.

A beautiful National Property a few miles from Basingstoke. For the less ambient there is sometimes a buggy available to take visitors from the car park to the main area. Lawns lead down from the house to a large lake with ducks etc. . For bird enthusiasts there is a hide. There are extensive woodland walks of varying lengths after... More

Lovely place to go with the family for all seasons. Beautiful grounds with well set out walks. Footpaths are easy to negotiate and clear. Children love running around and climbing trees identified for the purpose. The Vine has a number of special events during the year, including an Easter Egg walk during Easter where children solve a series of puzzles... More

Quite a regular place to visit with a number of things to see. The house is having work done so has some screens around but the grounds are great - both lawns and woodland. Nice for a walk. National Trust venues can be expensive to pay each time but we have family membership which is much better and you don't... More

Great for the kids and family, this 16th Century Tudor estate has a lot to offer. It is fantastic for walks and at the end of it, they have some lovely scones at the Tea room. Highly recommend it.
