Being a local, I had a bit of resistance to going on a "swamp tour" because I grew up in the area. After some hesitance, my friend and I booked the tour. We called ahead and spoke to, Shelly, and she was super friendly. To reserve your spot, you simple give them your credit card info and can choose to... More

From other reviews I expected something fantastic. It was okay. Not terribly memorable. It's of gators. Just saw the top side. Stories and factoids. The most interesting things were the other passengers. Many from France or Canada.

Great introduction to the wildlife in the Louisiana swamps. 2 hours floating around the swamp enjoying alligators, turtles and the many birds of the swamp. Very knowledgable guide and he went out of his way to ensure we all have good photo opportunities-seats swivel as well which helps as there is so much to see in every direction. Weather was... More

Lake Martin is incredibly beautiful. This tour was two hours, but my kids said it felt like ten minutes. They had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back again. This tour combined a great deal of education about the local ecosystems while staying casual and fun. We saw a host of different types of native wildlife, including snakes,... More

while heading West we stopped in Lafayette for some local flavor. My wife and I had never visited a swamp before so we chose Cajun Country Swamp Tours for the experience. On both occasions Shawn was our tour guide. he was most knowledgeable about his surroundings having grown up around the lake. I am a photographer and he knew just... More

This was a pleasant surprise as we expected a very touristy and blah kind of tour as these people do it so often. Bob was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour is eco-friendly (no big engine or speedy boat) and it is a very good value for the money. A must in my opinion

This was an enjoyable tour guided by Shawn, who was very knowledgeable about the swamp and and the flora and fauna that call the swamp home. We saw lots of birds, especially herons and egrets, as well as a large variety of ducks and grebes, a few bald eagles, kingfishers and a ringfisher, and a somewhat rare vermillion flycatcher (brilliant... Butch, our guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining with an amazing ability to spot and identify different birds and creatures as well as explain the environment. We saw plenty of alligators including a large male swimming in open water and another, sunning itself on a log, allowed us to get very close.
