I visited this state park with family in early May, and I had a wonderful time. We visited near closing time out of season, so we ended up being the only ones there. I felt like I was immersed in nature - frogs, insects, and birds were all singing and chirping their songs with no people there to interrupt them.... More

We used St Bernard's as a base for our first trip into NOLA. It was a great plan, St Bernard's is a very scenic clean and convenient state park and it is only about 30 minutes drive into the French Quarter. Camp sites are level, clean and spaced nicely so you are not too close to your neighbor. The facilities... More

Nice, clean State Park. Not far from New Orleans yet feels like being out in the country (because it is 😀) The bath house is older but extremely clean, laundry facilities are available and reasonable. We enjoyed a week here in the cool of the spring, with all the trees in their new green. We would definitely return.

We spent the first 2 nights of our trip in CBD and the last 2 nights here. The campground was cheaper, cleaner, and quieter. Will definitely stay here on our next trip to New Orleans.

A very friendly, clean State Park. The camping sites are very roomy, restrooms and showers clean and a nice laundry area. The Camp hosts were very nice and helpful. I would not hesitate to go back. The only drawback is no sewer hook up- but we were fine in our motor home for 5 days.

This was a great place to camp near New Orleans, but feel like you are way out away from the city. It is a fairly easy drive into the city if you want to tour there. It is also a great place to relax and enjoy the nature in the bayou around you. While we were here, we enjoyed listening... More

The staff at this park are very friendly, the sites are narrow and not as deep as they need to be to be able to keep off the grass. Its proximity to NOLA is a big plus, but the road we came in on was VERY rough. That has nothing to do with the park, but if you follow GPS... More

We wanted to stay somewhere quiet but yet 30 minutes or so from New Orleans. Sites at this park have 30/50 amp electric and water. You can reserve sites, the prices are reasonable, our first night was $28.00, subsequent nights were $22.00. The bathrooms are older but okay. We are self contained so did not use them. There is a... Friendly rangers who will give you tips on local attractions. Quiet park with level small lots. Very clean shower house with thoughtful additions such as wire hangers in the shower. Very clean laundry facilities.
