Picked this campground knowing little about it and found a beautiful lake and campground with beautiful sites. When we reserved we asked the woman for a recommendation and we certainly understood why she recommended number 7. It was private and we could park right next to it. It was a huge wooded site. Our tent was set near a pond... More

Went to the visitors center at Taylorsville lake . I live nearby . Its a great park especially this time of the year with all the leaves changing color. Plenty of trails to hike or run . Lakeview .

Liked our campsite, hiking trails and the lake. Quiet park, very clean bathrooms and good showers. Did not stay long but did do some long hikes and the trails were well maintained.

Very nice and clean campgrounds in the RV lot section of the park with enough space between lots. Nice playground for the kids to use along with a volleyball court and horseshoes. You can also check out games and other items from the parks office. Campground is also down the road from possum ridge boat docks.

Went camping with my sons boys scouts troop and had fun on the trails. The restroom area is maintained very good, better then other camping site I've been too. The staff at the check-in booth was really nice and helpful. We will be back again.

Excellent fishing and camping and spectacular scenery we love Taylorsville state park. Our grandchildren love to go to the marina and feed the big carp there it is free to go bu you either have to take fish food or you can purchase fish food there.

Loved this State park! All of the staff we met was so polite and nice, when we first arrived and checked in the guy and girl working the front gate were so friendly. Also later in our visit we met the Park Manager and he was so helpful answering questions and giving us directions. Our campsite #34 was a great... More

This state park is a quiet retreat. The lake and trails all lead to fun opportunities to explore and enjoy nature. The campground has a great layout with a good playground and the trails all lead off of the campground in different areas. It's very big for horseback riding! Fishing on the bank of the lake is fun or rent... More

This is a very clean, well manicured, pretty place. There is a mix of wooded and field areas. There are 3 boat ramps and adequate parking. A concrete walk along the shore is available for fishing, also. There is no beach for swimming that we knew of. No park maps were available. Print your park map from the website before... More

The Kentucky State Park System, even with recent budget cuts, holds its own special place as a destination for a wide variety of outdoor adventures. Today it is a triathlon, the second time I have been here to the boat launch location. Water is reported at 73 degrees. Both the bike and run confront strenuous uphill coming out if the... More
