It's all about quilts in this town (and other fiber arts as well), and the museum is great. Even my husband enjoyed it because the quilts there are works of art. Many of them are wonders!

I wish we could have taken pictures just to remember the amazing talent that went into the quilts! Learning of all of the hours that people spent designing, laying out, and sewing these masterpieces makes me appreciate the simple quilts I've been given so much more. Seeing works from all over the world in this small town museum was a... More

Visiting the National Quilt Museum was a surprisingly pleasant experience for me. I have no knowledge of quilting but was amazed by the time and artistic effort that goes into producing such beautiful works of art. The gift shop is lovely and staffed by knowledgeable and friendly employees. I highly recommend the museum to all.

My wife is a quilter and for years she has wanted to experience the National Quilt Museum in Paducah. We finally had the chance this week driving from Fort Leavenworth Kansas to our home in Alpharetta, Georgia. We arrived early afternoon and purchased our tickets. We were met in short order by Robert Worden, one of the many on-hand docents.... More

We like quilts, we LOVE The National Quilt Museum! The quilts we saw were more than worth the drive & cost & they were only part of the rotating collection. Many of those we saw were stunning works of art. The most exciting thing was that from 10 feet they were beautiful but from 1" the intricacy was just as... More

Give yourself at least an hour here, probably closer to 90 minutes. If you have ANY interest in quilts, this is worth a visit.

I have never professed to have any interest in quilting. But, this museum is really quite good. I have seen quilt displays at county / fair grounds / events in the past. But, this was exceptional. Take the time! You won't be disappointed!
