WOW !!! We visited in early September, and it was great = it wasn't very crowded at all. My kids were able to see everything, multiple times, and at their own pace. The tickets we bought allowed us to re-enter anytime throughout that day, so...More

Awesome aquarium. Lots to see for everyone. Conservation programs here are first rate and their connections to other sea life conservation groups is impressive. We enjoyed our time here. We'll be back. The Newport on the Levee area is quite nice. Great staff too!

The only better one would be Sea World. This is similar in style to the Mandolay Bay in Las Vegas but much larger. Better than the Chicago Shedd Aquarium. Huge shark tank that you walk through or can walk on a rope bridge over is...More

We visited Newport Aquarium in early September. One of the things we were impressed with was the apparent effort by the designers to get the public as close to the specimens as possible. There were many walk though Plexiglas tunnels where fish are all around....More

Not the biggest, but an excellent aquarium just the same. A greater variety of fish, especially relative exotics, than implied in other reviews. New to me this time was the paddle fish. They must have been recently fed because they were all swimming around with...More

I love coming to this aquarium, except for when I come and there is an overabundance of loud, obnoxious children that just seem to be there because it was where their parents/school brought them for the day.

I will admit that aquariums don't excite me...but they excite my kids! This was a good trip and the layout of Newport is really good. I applaud them for the total length of their exhibits, the layout of path then several galleries along the way...More

Hi. I am not able to answer that question. We watched the penguin encounter as part of the overall admission ticket and it was fun. I recommend calling the Aquarium directly about admission for just the penguins.

There is a parking garage there. Plus valet, which I thought was worth the price. As for drinks, yes, I brought in a coffee and they let me take it right in.
