Went to the Bard's Town for the Improv show. The Louisville group was much funnier than the Chicago group. I'm not sure the show was worth the $15.00 cover. We had a couple of drinks from the bar and the service was good and the drinks were reasonably priced at $4.00 for a bourbon and ginger. I would love to... More

We went for the improv show, which was awesome and loved the food. The gooey butter cake was delicious. The Reuben was fantastic.

Really enjoyed my time here. Enjoyed several good local beers on tap. Nice bartenders and locals filled the place. They also have an event room where things were going on. Seems like they use it for various shows and group meetings. Cool place.

I went here recently for a performance. We didnt eat nor drink so I cant comment on those. The theatre was really fun though. When I walked in I noticed how small and intimate the seats were in relation to the stage. I got nervous because I thought it was going to be an interactive performance. I was glad to... More

As a native Louisvillian, I am disappointed this was my first visit to The Bards Town. The food was quite good, the service was tremendous and the play was excellent! I'd highly recommend the Diablo pasta with either chicken or sausage--both quite delicious.

We randomly found the restaurant off google. We are from Wisconsin and am not familiar with the area. Figured we would give it a try. Very good service, very quick to get food out, amazing homemade dressings, and cool environment

Came here with some friends before a performance and was very pleased with our experience. We were there around 5pm and were lucky enough to take advantage of the six dollar happy hour appetizers! I got loaded sweet potato fries that were delicious. There were so many of them I didn't even order a main dish! I also had the... More

Went to the Bard's Town for dinner and a play recently. Food was very good, especially the tomato bisque soup. Restaurant service was great. Despite the very small stage that had essentially the same set throughout the play, the facilities are comfortable and the play was just as good as being at Actor's Theater. Nice intimate setting.

A very laid back community. Wear comfy shoes and enjoy! Cuisine ranges from Ethiopian to Sushi and all points in-between. Be sure to save a few hours to browse the many shops, thrift stores, and book-store.

After visiting the Jim Beam Distillery, we ventured down to Bardstown. This is a quaint little town with so much character. We stopped of at the Old Talbot Tavern for a few ales and Bourbons. Talbot Tavern dates back to the 1770's. We would have loved to stay longer, even overnight to take in the ambiance. Whilst crossing the road... More
