My boyfriend and I went with some coworkers on a private tour last Saturday night. I was afraid that someone was going to jump out at me but the tour is nothing like that. The history our guide shared with us was amazing! The tour...More

I love haunted places and if you do too the Waverly is one not to miss. I have taken two 2-hour tours over several years and the place is not disappointing or ordinary. The history is as large as the size of the place. Be...More

This is a neat old place with an interesting history. If you are into the ghost hunting thing, you can probably get your kicks here, but we thought that the architecture and the history by themselves were plenty to get this place on the Cool...More

We weren't really sure what to do when we arrived and saw a bunch of cars waiting. It turns out you wait there until someone comes down, opens the gate and lets you in. They make sure you have a reservation and you then drive...More

Waverly Hills Sanitorium was a very cool tour. We spent roughly 3 hours here and got to walk up and down the body chute at the end as well. The place is in disrepair, and it appears that they’re trying to turn it into a...More

My SO and I were so excited to take this tour. It had great potential - just didn't quite make it. First - when we ordered our tickets online it told us to be there 30 min before our tour time. We arrived as advised,...More

I have been "warned" of coming to waverly hills in comparison of other places that allow over night ghost hunts. I bought tickets for my husband's birthday, although I have been wanting to visit waverly hills for nearly 8 years this was his gift. We...More

We came to Louisville to do a paranormal investigation with celebrity ghost hunters at Waverly Hills. This place is amazing! It is an old, creepy building for sure. But it was cool to wander through it at night. I personally had no paranormal experiences, but...More

Did they provide any ghost hunting equipment on the overnight 6-hour tour? That's what we'll be doing and I'm unclear if there's any help from them with equipment provided, etc.

Hi, no we weren't offered any equipment, I think it is down to the guests to supply their own. I know we did.

I was planning on visiting Waverly Hills this summer, but I have read some reviews that say flashlights or flashes from cameras are not allowed. If this is true, how are visitors supposed to find their way or get any pictures in the dark?

They give you opportunity to take flash pics in some areas and use small flashlight at certain times. Your guide has a flash light and will make sure your safe.

I will be in town for my Birthday March 22-24 and I was really hoping I would get to visit this amazing place but it doesn't look like any tours are available during those days, is this correct? Is there a time during the day where I could come and at least visit the gift shop and take a couple photos. Coming here has been a dream of mine!
