There is a "scenic loop" throughout the park that makes it really simple to traverse w/out confusion. The heavily tree lined streets in the park (& out) make this town/area one of my favorite smaller, big cities. Be sure to go see St. James Court...More

This park has a one way street that zigs and zags through the entire park. They took the left land and made it a pedestrian and bike lane. It's perfect for jogging, walking or bicycling if you can handle the steep hills. It's very scenic...More

I have personally never experienced landscape artistry like that of the famous landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. I had read and become fascinated with him in the book Devil in the White City but to visually partake in his works has taken me to a...More

Beautiful park located in the middle of the city, surrounded by residential areas. This is a pretty good sized park, and very hilly, so if you're not in shape you may want to bike this and there were a lot of bikers when we were...More

This was a very peaceful park. We parked easily for free, got out and sat on one of the benches and listened to the birds sing, chatted and people watched. We saw all ages of people out with their kids and pets walking, running and...More

We only had the opportunity to drive the loop road through the park, but next time we hope to walk some of the trails. Very green.

The park is safe, the terrain is cool you can do trail running or hike or simply run the marked paths. It has some challenging routes/hills but it is not ovewhelming and the loop is awesome for a daily run routine

This park is excellent for walking/hiking and biking. We usually take our dog through the woods or we just hike ourselves.

So much to offer here- Walking, cycling, mountain biking, skating, picnics and more. One of the treasures that Louisville has to offer. Check out Big Rock with Beargrass creek flowing past.

No fee to get in, and I am with you on the age and all, but we ride/walk and I suggest the fall to do the walk/ride. It is hilly but I suggest to drive it and pick your area, some hills are worse than others.
