You really get a feel for the derby! If you've never had an interest in attending the derby before, you probably will after this. The tour starts with a movie describing the horses and their training. The you walk outside and see the track and the paddock. Our guide was so knowledgeable and you could tell she loves her job.

A Ky. tradition for Kentuckian's as well as other people! At least your once in your lifetime plan to attend the derby! It's an exciting day you won't forget. Order a mint julep and bet on a horse. Whether you are grandstands or infield, it's just a fun day.

I am so proud of Churchill Downs. They have revised the food courts and their food is delicious on all levels. The bars have amazing staff members who are welcoming to everyone. Children will also enjoy the beautiful horses and the racing. This is a must for all visitors to Kentucky.

There is nothing like going to the horse races at the historical Churchill Downs. Many improvements have been made over the years that make a day at the races special. If you have the opportunity I highly recommend attending the Kentucky Oaks or Kentucky Derby. The experience is worth the time and effort.

We go to Churchill Downs usually in May/June of every year as a group of mostly couples. It's a blast! I highly recommend the Millionaires Row as you get a buffet and indoor reserved seating with outdoor balcony access to watch the races. For a non-derby race, we pay around $30 per ticket and get unlimited food and soft drinks.... More

It's one thing to go there but another to see the horses running or during one of their several events. We go to one of the kids/family days every year. Highly recommended for families. The best part is that most of the events are shaded with fans and a beer cart close by!

The museum consists of a wonderful introductory film and a series of video stations where you can watch former races. There's not a lot here. Worth it for the movie, shown on a 360-degree screen.

We've traveled the world (no brag, just fact) and my wife said this was the most exciting venue she has been to ... so much for London, Paris, New Zealand, I guess. At any rate, go the full Monty on your touring pass. The $11 visit to the track at railside doesn't pay justice to the history of this place.... More

We saw the first race as part of a tour we attended in the Museum. I've seen horses race before but my daughter hadn't. Seeing these beautiful, powerful animals come around the bend neck in neck....................Amazing. A must see if you are in Louisville and like horses!

Churchill Downs is my favorite place in Kentucky. Even if you're only mildly interested in horse racing, there is no better place to gamble away the afternoon in the classiest way possible.
