We don't consider ourselves big Kentucky Derby fans but after visiting the museum and taking the general tour, we are thinking about coming back in May for the big race! The tour was interesting and so was the museum. We spent about 2 hours there....More

After our wonderful visit, we felt like we really understood what it was like to experience the Kentucky Derby and the roles of the many people involved in it. The barn and backside van tour was well worth the extra $10 price - don't miss...More

The museum was very informative, both about the Derby but also about the lives of thoroughbreds and racing. Enjoyed the small walking tour that is included to see the track and grounds without the race-day crowds.

Admittedly, I can get weepy when I hear “My Old Kentucky Home.” There was no exception when we watched the 4K 360 video that is offered periodically throughout each day. The exhibits are interesting and attractive. Some of them are interactive. The tour took us...More

This is one of those museums that leaves a lasting impression. The 360 degree theater is a unique, one of kind experience. The trackside tour gives an up close look to the derby and all of the exhibits and well thought out and highly interactive....More

If you like thoroughbred racing, then you must visit. Learn a lot, get to experience calling a race and the 360 theater is great. We really enjoy our tour guide as well.

Great museum, well worth seeing! Different than most museums, very interesting even if you aren't into horses or horse racing!

Great multimedia show in the round and modern museum for all ages. Plenty of parking. Museum is adjacent to main gate of Churchill Downs so you can combine it with a day at the race track.
