I'm told this historic theatre was recently renovated. It's beautiful! Intricate, artistic woodwork on the walls & ceiling (& stained glass). Cushy, comfortable, wide base & back chairs. Make this a stop on your trip to Lexington!

We can walk here, so it makes it easier, but I love coming here for movies. They don’t always have the best selections, for my tastes, but when they do it’s a great experience.

This is an old and elegant theater. The Indie movies are often played here, as well as the main stream movies. The ticket price is $6 for the first movie of the day, at least. The popcorn and soda are bargains as well. It's a...More

I enjoyed visiting the Kentucky Theater (or Kentucky Theatre) to see a classic movie from 1962, today, Wednesday, June 14, 2017. On Wednesdays the theater currently features classics. Fred Mills, the manager of the Kentucky Theater, is a wonderful gentleman. I got to the theater...More

It is a historic charming theatre. Enjoyed seeing the inside of the theatre, appreciating local artwork on the walls and mingling with other guests. This was a fun event where snacks (typical movie popcorn/candy/beverages) were available for purchase. The visit was during the international film...More

The ambiance here for seeing a movie is just the best! I so enjoyed visiting once again. I went to movies here back in the 70's when I was in college so it was great to revisit.

It's nice that they've preserved the downtown theater. We didn't see a movie there, but they do show old movies there in the theater.

Set in downtown Lexington, with free nearby parking, this theatre is something special. It is a "proper" theatre with interesting architecture and real atmosphere. Classic movies are shown every Wednesday during summer months and prior to the film (we saw John Wayne in The Searchers)...More

Yes. Debit and Credit. They have a nice choice of alcohol and wine with the movies. Enjoy.
