We can walk here, so it makes it easier, but I love coming here for movies. They don’t always have the best selections, for my tastes, but when they do it’s a great experience.

This is an old and elegant theater. The Indie movies are often played here, as well as the main stream movies. The ticket price is $6 for the first movie of the day, at least. The popcorn and soda are bargains as well. It's a...More

I enjoyed visiting the Kentucky Theater (or Kentucky Theatre) to see a classic movie from 1962, today, Wednesday, June 14, 2017. On Wednesdays the theater currently features classics. Fred Mills, the manager of the Kentucky Theater, is a wonderful gentleman. I got to the theater...More

I pretty much LIVE at this theater, so it can do no wrong in my opinion. The building actually combines two vintage theaters, each with its own distinctive decor. Plus pipe organ music before some film screenings. Many larger cities would envy this venue AND...More

It is a historic charming theatre. Enjoyed seeing the inside of the theatre, appreciating local artwork on the walls and mingling with other guests. The ambiance here for seeing a movie is just the best! I so enjoyed visiting once again. I went to movies here back in the 70's when I was in college so it was great to revisit.

It's nice that they've preserved the downtown theater. We didn't see a movie there, but they do show old movies there in the theater.

Set in downtown Lexington, with free nearby parking, this theatre is something special. It is a "proper" theatre with interesting architecture and real atmosphere. Classic movies are shown every Wednesday during summer months and prior to the film (we saw John Wayne in The Searchers)...More

This is one of my favorite places in Lexington. The theatre has been restored and refurbished in the last few years but has still retained many original features and its old charm. This is a great place to catch indie or art house films that...More

Yes. Debit and Credit. They have a nice choice of alcohol and wine with the movies. Enjoy.
