This was a wonderful stop on our vacation. It is a very well kept place. Has a visitor center with lots of information. The people who staff this facility are very knowledgeable. It is a labor of love for them. My kids learned something from...More

Building & grave site locked even though web site says it's open on Wednesday. Commemorative plaques provide profound insights so not a wasted trip. But a 15 minute stop was much less than I expected.

I have attended this powwow for 14 years now. It is a great way to learn more about native culture. Good for Boy and Girl Scout Troops and kids in general.

It is a quiet, pleasant place to walk. You don't have to go just to visit the museum. Don't forget to visit the graves of the two Cherokee Chiefs who died there.

I am no longer sure of that. It was operated by volunteers for the longest time. The website shows TUE-SAT 10-4 on those dates.
