Six loop trails (total 6.5 miles) many of these trails were once walked by John James Audubon while he watched birds and sketched them. There is a very good museum and book store in a historic building (containing state-of-the-art facilities and free wi-fi).

Audubon has really nice trails for hiking and or running. They offer several different paths that you can choose for however far you want to hike or run.

Great for casual, short hikes in town on nice days. Limited parking, only one dog trail, overpriced cabins, paddle boats, tennis courts and golf course on site

I love visiting Audubon State Park each fall during the month of October. A great place to get away for the day or over your lunch hour.
