I live in Nashville TN and when I would go to Tropicana I would always frequent Ellis Park to play their Instant Racing machines. The $5 Double Horseshoes was my favorite. Then when Kentucky Downs in Franklin, KY did away with all their Double Horseshoe...More

Great smaller track that has a country feel to it. Been visiting here for years and drive over from St Louis for it. Very open grandstands which I like and lots of nice seating at picnic tables on the grass. Prices aren't too bad for...More

Had fun in clubhouse betting on the races. Had dinner and cocktails. Good service. I did not like the buffet, except for the fish. I wished I had ordered a sandwich from the menu.

The horses run in drizzle. They really are athletes. This track would get a five, but I'm not a slots and dazzle guy. I like seeing the horses run, couldn't give eight darns about gambling, hate the smoke that seems to be ingrained with losers...More

For a fun family afternoon we like coming to Ellis park. Even though it's hot, it seems there is always a breeze. Fun inexpensive entertainment! I don't like all of the cigarette smoke but that seems to be the only downfall.

Fun entertainment for everyone!! Kids enjoyed watching horses run and cheap 'cheering' if you are sensible. The facility is somewhat run down but not why we went anyway.

First time visiting this track. My first impression was the smell of cigarettes everywhere. It is a quaint track with very reasonable food and beverage prices. It advertises slot machines, but there aren't alot of them and I didn't see them getting much action. There...More

Small but quaint track. Very dated but reasonable food prices, free admission and plenty of places to set including picnic tables with shaded umbrellas right on the edge of the track. There is even a very small casino, no board games just slot machines. Sign...More

They are not actually slot machines but instsnt racing machines, they have become very popular at the track especially during non racing timed. If visiting from out of town- I would like to let you know that within a few... More
