We enjoyed this. My 4 & 6 year old got a little restless & hot by the end. And it's a little hard to understand the speaker system.

Nice trip. Beautiful river, that is not overran by alot of boat traffic. We saw goid but of wildlife, including a bald eagle.

It was a very relaxing 1 hour boat ride. Beautiful scenery. Good for all ages. Availability depends on weather so call ahead. Purchase tickets at Shaker Village.

I can't imagine they would ever be necessary, but that is a question for the front desk at Shaker Village. Sorry I can not answer.
