A very pleasant - and not too expensive - way to spend an hour or so. Witty and knowledgeable commentary on the river and the boat from the captain; excellent local Civil War information from the "crew". Really enjoyed this trip.

My son and I spent a relaxing afternoon enjoying a scenic drive to shaker village. Also an equally enjoyable ride aboard the Dixie Belle. We had some problems finding the Belle. However once we visited the shaker Village information center it was made clear what...More

This ride on the paddle boat was fabulous! The captain was so very knowledgeable and at ease with the boat, the information, and the passengers. The rise is serene! Must do!

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride on the Dixie Belle while visiting the Shaker Village. There was plenty of seating on the upper level which included seating around the railing and benches in the center. The seating on the lower deck was simple tables and plastic...More

I've ridden the Dixie Belle several times of the years, and frankly I doubt I will again. The PA system is ancient, poorly functioning, and the narrative dry as river drift wood. A short ride up and back, and that's about it. I wish Shakertown...More

I can't imagine they would ever be necessary, but that is a question for the front desk at Shaker Village. Sorry I can not answer.
